Trump Tower Vancouver Under Construction

A High-Rise Story with a Twist

About

Perched on West Georgia Street, just a stone’s throw from Coal Harbour, the Trump Tower Vancouver (currently known as Paradox Hotel Vancouver) adds a distinct flair to the city’s skyline. This 63-storey, 187.8-metre (616 ft) skyscraper isn’t just another tall building but a visual statement. Designed by the legendary Arthur Erickson, the tower is a marvel of modern architecture, twisting 45 degrees from base to top—a literal twist on your typical skyscraper.

Completed in 2016, the tower now holds the title of Vancouver’s second tallest building, just behind the Shangri-La Tower, its equally lofty neighbor. But this iconic building’s journey wasn’t without its twists. Initially shelved in February 2009, the project was resurrected later that year, with plans to reach even greater heights while staying true to Erickson’s original vision.

Despite Erickson’s passing in May 2009, his final skyscraper design is a tribute to his genius, forever twisting its way into Vancouver’s architectural history. With its blend of luxury condos and hotel rooms, the Trump Tower Vancouver ensures that Erickson’s last great work is more than just a building but an experience, from bottom to top, with a twist.
