About VanCityArch.com
Welcome to my little corner of the internet—a photo blog dedicated to capturing the architectural charm and history of Vancouver. I’m not a professional photographer, nor do I wield the latest camera gear. What I do have is a deep appreciation for the structures that define this city, the place I call home.
This gallery is a bit of a spontaneous project, driven by those moments when I feel the urge to grab my camera and explore. You’ll notice there’s no strict schedule here, just a collection of photos taken on walks around town, each reflecting a piece of my journey. Along the way, I’ve encountered some unexpected adventures and met people who share my passion for architecture.
My goal is to cover a broad spectrum of Vancouver’s architecture, including residential and commercial buildings and heritage landmarks that tell the story of the city’s past. Beyond individual structures, I’ll also capture general cityscapes and areas like the Downtown Eastside (DTES), which hold their unique character and history.
Vancouver is a city in constant motion, where change happens at an absolutely mind-blowing pace. Even photos taken just a few years ago can offer a striking perspective on how much things have evolved. Through these stills, I aim to capture moments that will never happen again—frozen in time, yet forever preserved as a memory of the city’s ever-changing landscape.
These photos might not follow a particular theme, but they represent my perspective on the city. My hope is that by sharing them here, they won’t just sit forgotten on my hard drive. If even one person finds something interesting in them, I’ll consider this project a success.
